Is Chiropractic Safe?
YES. Study after study shows that the risk of serious complications from chiropractic are very rare. No one is treated without first addressing their safety
needs through both a thorough assessment and an informed consent process.

Does it hurt?
No. It is physical but it does not hurt. Some people (about 1 in 3) get some temporary tenderness like you get after exercising.

Is ‘cracking’ my back necessary?
In some cases but not all. Proper assessment can result in an answer to that question for each individual. The benefits of "cracking"  called manipulation
or adjustment, often far, far outweigh any initial reservations people have about it.

Are there any long term side effects?
No

Can Chiropractic help with pregnancy?
Gentle stretching of the joints and ligaments in the spine and pelvis tends to give the baby more room to move. Based on this chiropractic has
been reported to help with such things as pain during pregnancy and position of the baby.

Do I have to be in pain or injured to benefit from Chiropractic?
NO. About 25 - 30% of our clients find that regular alignment helps with sleep, performance of daily activities (e.g. it allows people to complete activities
they otherwise could not), such as gardening, fishing, golf, tennis, being able to sit in front of the computer.......the list goes on. Regular treatment is always paired with either an active lifestyle, an exercise program and healthy eating habits

How Long Does the problem take to fix?
This depends on the individual risk factors in your case. We usually can tell after a thorough assessment what the risk factors are in your case. In most cases the number of sessions required relies on

1. Number of Risk Factors in Your Case
2. How much you can do to help yourself. Remember, in general people who are better informed about how to take care of themselves heal faster.
3. Factors such as sleep and nutrition also play a role. These will be addressed at the time of consultation.

From what age can children be treated?
From newborn; especially if they suffer from colic, disturbed sleep or an irritable baby. Keep in mind however that the treatment of babies is completely
different from the treatment of adults. It does not involve any cracking.

Is there an age limit?
NO. Chiropractic treatments can be very beneficial in an elderly population.

What education and training do chiropractors have?
Chiropractors must study a minimum of five years at University. In Australia there are currently three universities graduating chiropractors. After a
period of internship in University Clinics chiropractors are able to be registered with the National Board that oversees the rights to practice and protects
the interest of the general public by ensuring no unqualified people can practice as chiropractors. To maintain registration all chiropractors must complete
continuing education requirements to keep up with the latest knowledge and methods of practice. All practitioners at this clinic are required both to be
registered and undertake appropriate continuing education. All overseas graduates must pass exams to be able to practice in Australia.

What are the benefits of a chiropractic maintenance program?
Various studies indicate regular treatment has the following benefits and more! Better sleep, better co-ordination, better posture, better strength,
overall better health.
